1. Sodium bicarbonate
Sodium bicarbonate (or bicarbonate of soda) is a white powder made from limestone and salt. It is inexpensive and very effective.

Anti-odor spray: mix 2 tbsp. at s. of baking soda with 200 ml of water and 10 drops of lavender essential oil (or any other oil you like).
Scouring powder: put a little powder on particularly calcareous places or with deposits. Add a little hot water to make a paste and scrub.
Place a jar of baking soda in bathrooms and laundry rooms to reduce humidity and odours.
2. White vinegar
This translucent liquid is obtained by acetification of beet or corn alcohol. Its strong smell is wonderfully masked with a few drops of peppermint essential oil.
